Official The Dan Patrick Show The Double Deuce The Official Crap. St. Bar t-shirt

While you might have expected Holmes to pair the maxi dress with a heel (perhaps the tiny kitten heels she was spotted in at Cannes Film Festival last month), it seems that she subscribes to her former stylist Allison Bornstein’s “wrong shoe theory”—adding an unexpected shoe to give a look more personality. Earlier this month, the style muse paired her Miu Miu ballet flats with a blazer and maxi dress, when again a pair of heels might have been the natural choice. It’s clear that in Holmes’s wardrobe, there’s no such thing as a wrong shoe. Since the final season of Succession went out with a bang at the end of May, it’s been a tough few weeks for fans of the hit HBO show. But for anyone feeling particularly bereft, spotting the cast members making front row appearances at the men’s fashion shows in Milan and Paris may offer a little relief. First, there was everybody’s favorite boy king and schemer Kendall—or at least the actor who plays him, Jeremy Strong—at the Loro Piana show in Milan, wearing a forest green blazer and a bucket hat lifted from the brand’s women’s section. (Not a pair of Kendall’s Lanvin sneakers in sight, however.) And today, at the Loewe show in Paris, the brand invited not just one, but two cast members to take in Jonathan Anderson’s latest menswear offering Brian Cox and Nicholas Braun (better known to Succession viewers as patriarch Logan Roy and the bumbling Cousin Greg, of course). While it may well be the first time that Cox has attended a show at Paris Fashion Week, if there’s one thing the latest press tour for Succession taught us, it’s that the 77 year old Scottish actor has a sharp eye for style. Working with stylist Venk Modur, he’s delivered everything from a suede western overshirt for a late show appearance, to a dapper powder blue suit to attend the Madrid premiere of the show’s final season. On the front row at Loewe, Cox wore a bright blue button down, navy track pants, crisp white sneakers, and a pair of the brand’s oval sunglasses to top it all off.Photo Getty Images

Braun, meanwhile, has proven he’s got style game on multiple occasions, having previously attended Thom Browne and Rag & Bone shows at fashion week, and regularly wearing the likes of Dior Men and Paul Smith on the red carpet. (Plus, who can forget the embellished Crocs he wore for the 2020 Emmys?) At the Loewe show today, however, Braun’s easy, breezy look was perfect for the soaring temperatures in the French capital, consisting of a summer shirt and short set in a colorful striped seersucker. Photo Getty ImagesAs viewers of Succession well know (and for anyone who isn’t up to speed with the Roys’ final outing, spoilers incoming), the death of Logan Roy midway through the season led to something of a crisis for Cousin Greg—even if his name did end up in Logan’s highly contentious “will.” Thankfully, it seems their real life relationship is a little more friendly, as they posed for pictures together while Cox slipped on his shades a very Logan Roy move. Who’s ready for a round of “boar on the floor” at the afterparty?
